Eluard Burt, aka Burt, originally had a different career in mind. “Coming from a musical background, I thought I would be a world-famous musician”. Well his mom gave the usual good advice to have a back-up plan!
A native of New Orleans, great food was the next logical plan. Burt started to nurture his cooking skills and his excitement grew. Accomplished chefs took him under their wings at local restaurants, such as The Pelican Club, Café Giovanni and Lemon Grass, as well as Epic Roasthouse in San Francisco. It was in the California film industry that Burt got a taste for catering and he loved the fast pace and unique off-site cooking challenges.
Back home, Burt joined Marie’s Fleur de Lis Catering in 2015 and has become the backbone of our hot kitchen production, both on-site and off-site. He still helps "let the good time roll" but he does it with food instead of music.
